Registers of discounted notes paid, 1836-1860.

This series consists of a register of discounted notes that were paid to the Branch Bank. Included are the date the transaction was recorded, the note number, the name of the owner of the note, the date the payment to the Branch Bank was made, the amount of payment on the note, and the amount still due. Also included is a daily section, containing the same type of information as the notes paid section, which lists the bills that were protested. The amount paid and the amount still due were totaled each day. This record seems to have served as a preliminary accounting book. The information was probably transferred into other Bank books.
